JCVD

Andy Walker just showed me the trailer for JCVD, which will soon be out on Netflix.  This movie looks really cool. Makes me kinda wish I still had a Netflix account.

Watchmen is awesome

I kinda already knew I was gonna love the movie. The new ending wasn’t necessarily better, but I think the real ending would’ve ended up looking kind of silly and random. It made more sense.

Other than that, it was pretty much exactly what I expected it to be – the comic put on film. Lots of cool fight scenes & explosions and awesome Rorshach voiceover monologue.

I really liked the fight scenes, mostly for their brevity. I’m so sick of matrix-style back & forth where they destroy half a city block but nobody seems to actually get hurt.

The Watchmen

I’ve been super pumped about The Watchmen ever since I saw the trailer sometime last year. I had never heard of it, but I could tell that this was gonna be cool.

Lately, I’ve been reading every article about the movie that I can find, and I quickly figured out that this won’t be a movie worth seeing if I haven’t read the comic.  Having finished the comic last night, I can confirm this.

I can’t wait for the movie, but all I’m expecting from it is eye candy & cool Rorschach monologues.  Also, I’m looking forward to learning how to pronounce Rorschach.

Spiderman 3 sucks

Spiderman 3 really sucks.

I know that by now anyone who was ever planning on seeing this movie already has, and that nobody reads this blog, but considering how much I liked the first two movies, I just feel the need to get this in writing.

Spiderman 3 is awful. Just awful.

Edit: I made this post when the movie was about 90% over. But I didn’t realize that it just keeps getting worse. I just saw the scene where Peter asks for Harry’s help. It’s just… so bad. So bad!

Edit 2: Good lord.  The bad guys are dead.  For all intents & purposes, this movie is over.  But it’s still getting worse.

I love The Onion?

I love reading The Onion, but I think Onion News Network isn’t very funny. The headlines are funny, but the actual storytelling is just boring. Although to be fair, a lot of people say the same thing about all Onion stories.

I thought this headline was hilarious, but the video was incredibly meh.
